Have you heard of Kernicterus ? It is a rare but serious disease that affects babies soon after they are born. It is easy to prevent but have to take precaution. The yellow skin of a baby it shows that Kernicterus is developing. Th baby has to be taken to a doctor immediately; doctors should know what treatment is needed from the sign. The medical term for the yellowing of the baby's skin is jaundice, Kernicterus only develops if jaundice is not treated. Children who have Kernicterus are mostly victims of medical malpractice. Some children can fully recover from Kernicterus but unfortunately others might have severe deficits and is require a lifetime of care.
